At Ignis Sentinel Engineering, our shared mission is to drive efficiency and minimize costs without compromising quality. One impactful way to achieve this is by streamlining review cycles. Our approach focuses on empowering you with clear, concise, and comprehensive information to enhance the quality of your submittals.
By doing so, we aim to significantly reduce the back-and-forth exchanges, cut down the number of comments, and minimize revisions. This not only shortens cycle times but also accelerates project timelines, enabling you to stay on schedule and within budget. Together, we can create a more efficient, cost-effective workflow that benefits all stakeholders involved.
With that goal in mind, we are continuing our “Key Focus Areas” initiative, highlighting the most frequent and critical comments to help you proactively address them.
This Week’s Key Focus Area: Corridor and Device Spacing
For NFPA Standards, one of the most frequent comments include:
• Corridor Strobe Placement: Strobes must be located no more than 15 ft from the end of the corridor, as per NFPA 72-2019, Section 18.5.5.8.
For SAES Standards, a common issue is:
• Control Valve Requirements: Control valves are required for every 5th device. (Reference details are being verified for additional clarity.)
By focusing on these specific areas, we can further streamline project approvals and ensure compliance with critical standards.
